Best Ways to Do Revision

!±8± Best Ways to Do Revision

As a student, the most difficult thing is not to get an assignment well-done or to do an excellent presentation. Rather, it is not easy for students to pay attention to every lecture and do revision after class, because most of us spend a large number of time on preparing assignment and presentation. These two tasks may occupy our midnight. As a result we cannot help falling asleep in class. However, there are actually some ways to improve our effectiveness and performance in the lecture halls.

If I am a hardworking student, I would recommend you to buy a notebook and jot down everything said by the lecturer. However I am lazy so I will give you other options. You can buy a MP3 recorder. You can take it with you to every lesson. Just turn on the recorder then you can have the lesson as many times as you want in the future. You may listen to the audio files before every test and exam. You will find this helpful because the audio files do not require you any space. You can store all of them into your computer. It is better than the traditional notebook.

But the disadvantage is that it is hard for you to find out the main point of every lecture. For example, you want to revise the IPA symbols. You know it is taught in week five. When you play the audio file, you have two options. First, listen to the file from beginning to the end. Second, you keep on rewind and forward the file in order to find out the related part. Both of them may take you certain time.

Another option is to record the lecture by digital camera. Although it still has the disadvantage stated above, it brings you convenience. You can not only listen to the voice, but also watch what is written on the board. It helps enhance your understanding.

Of course, before you choose any of the above two options, you have to ask your lecturer's permission. Some lecturers do not like being recorded in class because they may feel nervous.

Actually the two options are not my favorite. It is really time-consuming to find out the main points. The LiveScribe Pulse Smart Pen 2GB is the greatest helper.

The LiveScribe Pulse Smart Pen is revolutionizing the way that students take notes in class and do revision. This highly advanced voice and written recorder will take all of your notes and recordings, and combine it into an easily usable computer registry of the event. This product has become the essential item for every college student as an affordable alternative to the laptop.
